DAWNS LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY by Marty Everhard

Here is the topo map, double click these images to enlarge them...this hike starts from the Mt. Majestic lift, at the Brighton base lodge, aprox 8770 ft. above sea level, a high starting point. Pass 4 lakes, continue to Catherine's Pass above Alta, and on to Sunset Peak, about 3.75 miles from the start. ( 10,600 ft).
Begining of trail thru the ski area. Wildflowers still to bloom here, about another week. ( 7/24/2011). Lots and lots of flowers in a week or two, we'll be back to go Twin Lakes this way to see them.
Add about a mile to Sunset Peak, and another half mile for the detour to Dog Lake just off the main trail. About 7.5 round trip.
1900 ft gain- I loved this hike. The lakes are beautiful, and the view from Sunset Peak are world class.
Nice waterfall, great audio effects. About 50 ft high.
We clocked it at about 9 miles on the GPS, given a few detours.
A great day in the Mountains, looking forward to returning, especially in the winter, with my increased route finding abilities. Really a great hike! Took us, about 5 hours with all breaks.
Next 12 pictures or so, are Lake Mary. A very very beautiful spot, at about 9500 ft or so, 1.1 miles up the steep early part of the trail.
