Desolation Lake Trail
Read More1 / 73
View of Desolation Lake, taken from the ridgeline which is between Big Cottonwood Canyon and The Canyons Resort, of Park City. This hike begins at the Mill D trailhead in Big Cottonwood Canyon, and goes up to the ridge, overlooking the Canyons and this lake. We then crossed over to the next drainage in Big Cottonwood, and came down Beartrap Fork. It was about 9 miles by the time we got back to the car back at Mill D, ( we used a shortcut, going up and back to the winter trailhead, which is a bit shorter then the official Forest Service trailhead.)
You will have to e-mail me for this shortcut.
